ASRock X99 Extreme 11

The X99 Extreme 11 is quite frankly one of the most insane motherboards we've ever laid eyes on. You could build a half decent system for what it costs (almost £550) but it truly showcases just how much can be done with the X99 platform if you really want. It comes with an incredible 18 SATA ports, an onboard SAS controller, dual M.2 PCI-E 3.0 x4 slots and not one but two PLX switches. We're not sure if anyone has been mad enough to put every part of this board to use in a system, but we'd love to see someone try!

Lian Li PC-O5SX

April turned out to be a month of extremes, as this case from Lian Li came with a price tag of almost £300. It is undeniably gorgeous though with its all aluminium design, tempered glass side panel and lavish interior. This is a case made for showing off your hardware as elegantly as possible, and it shows that Lian Li can still deliver a lustworthy chassis when it wants to.
